Gently Used Christmas Gift Bags Wanted
The White Cross Program was created in the early 1960’s by CMHA-PEI Division to provide social and recreational activities for Islanders who struggle with their mental health and have limited opportunities for socialization.
One of the busiest and most rewarding sub-programs is the White Cross Christmas Program dedicated to sourcing, organizing and assembling gifts for the program’s membership. Gifts are donated by local businesses and individuals. This past Christmas White Cross volunteers distributed 850 gifts across the Island. That’s a lot of gifts!
Anyone wishing to make a donation (monetary or in-kind) can drop by 178 Fitzroy Street in Charlottetown anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. At this time, any gently used Christmas gift bags would be greatly appreciated!
