Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
ASIST is a two-day suicide intervention workshop presented by certified trainers, usually twice annually. The ASIST workshop is designed to increase caregivers’ knowledge, comfort level and confidence in responding to a person at risk of suicide. Developed by LivingWorks Education, it is the most widely used, acclaimed and researched training of its kind in the world.
2017 ASIST WORKSHOPS
The Canadian Mental Health Association/PEI Division hosts two-day ASIST Workshops throughout the year at Murchison Centre in Charlottetown – please see the attached flyer for more details and registration information. Also note that seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis upon registration with payment.
This workshop is designed for caregivers of varying backgrounds, increasing the caregivers’ knowledge, comfort and confidence to intervene with a person at risk of suicide.
