‘Supporting Children and Youth to Grieve After Suicide Loss’ New Resource Kit to be Launched on World Suicide Prevention Day

Charlottetown, PEI – September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD) in Canada and around the world. It’s a day to come together, offer comfort and support to those impacted by suicide, and to highlight important work that contributes to suicide safer communities in PEI.

To mark this year’s World Suicide Prevention Day 2021 (WSPD), the Canadian Mental Health Association/PEI Division (CMHA/PEI) is introducing a new resource kit entitled, Supporting Children and Youth to Grieve After Suicide Loss. Launch Event

A Live Zoom Event; Supporting Children and Youth to Grieve After Suicide Loss, will be hosted on September 10, 2021, at 12 pm. The event will feature our Suicide Prevention and Life Promotion Manager Pat Doyle, along with one of our Suicide Prevention and Life Promotion Committee Members, Jocelyne Ludgate. They will provide an overview of the kit, and discuss more available resources surrounding this topic. To register for the event, please see the attached registration form. Due to the topics that will be discussed during this event, we encourage only those 18 years or older to participate.
